My Story

I didn’t grow up with prayers at the dinner table. For a long time, I was my own North Star—I relied on my own strength, my own logic, and my own hustle to navigate life. On the outside, I was doing fine. But on the inside? I was exhausted from trying to be my own savior.

My journey to Christ wasn't a sudden lightning bolt. It was a slow realization that I couldn't "self-improve" my way into peace. I met people who had an unshakeable quietness in their souls, even when life got messy. I wanted what they had. Stepping into faith meant finally admitting I didn't have all the answers—and honestly, that was the most freeing thing I’ve ever done.

This brings me to the Everesting challenge.

If you aren't a cycling nerd, Everesting is simple but brutal: you pick one hill and ride it repeatedly until you’ve climbed 8,848 meters—the height of Mount Everest. It’s a grueling test of grit.

Why do it? Because it’s the perfect metaphor for my faith.

Faith isn't just about the "Instagram view" from the top. It’s about the grind in the middle. It’s about showing up for the 20th lap when your legs are on fire and the summit feels a million miles away. It’s about trusting the process when you're completely drained.

I’m taking on this climb to support Tearfund. They’re on the ground in places hit hardest by poverty and injustice, bringing real hope where it’s needed most. My faith changed my internal world; Tearfund is doing that work in the external world.

I’m definitely not a perfect Christian, and I’m far from an elite athlete. But I’m someone who found hope, and I want to use this climb to pass it on.Whether it's a prayer, a word of encouragement, or a donation—thank you for being part of this journey with me. Let's make every meter count.
